Combat Rules for Power Rangers: Legend War
Being that this is a Power Rangers role play, combat will play a heavy role on the site. Below you will find a list of rules that apply to combat in the forum. Please familiarize yourself with these rules and get to know them so you can be the best RP Partner possible to other members. On this site we operate a Play by Post system a system many of you will be familiar with. If not you'll soon get the hang of it.
A. All members are expected to post in battles quickly and efficiently. For this reason, if a participant is due to post (i.e. it is their 'turn' to post) and fails to do so within 48 hours, their turn will be considered a 'pass' where their character does nothing for the duration of the round and will succumb to any hits by the opposing side. This will apply unless both members have agreed to wait an extended period of time for one another.
B. Any attack must be able to be countered, unless you have approached the end of a duel. You cannot simply walk into a thread and kill someone instantly. Everyone should be given the chance to defend themselves after every move. Whether or not they are able to think of a defense is up to their own imagination. You may not post things such as “he shot his opponent in the head” because that gives your opponent no chance of survival and you would be controlling another character. The best way to say something like this is to say "he shot at his opponent's head", as that outlines the intent of an action, rather than dictate it. This is an important distinction and should be adhered to at all times in combat.
C. No god modding. No one player can control every element of the situation. Play fair. If you are suspected to be god modding you may incur a ban from the site.
D. Posts in the past cannot be edited or altered, save for spelling and grammar.
E. Take note of an opponents stats. If you have a speed of 2 and they have a speed of 5 it is unlikely you will be able to dodge an attack from them at point blank range. Taking note of stats ensures that players are entering the fight fairly and not abusing the system.
F. Have Fun. It's just a game, try not to take things too seriously.
